Can Large Gauge Wire Hurt An Amp

Just a quick question, someone is letting me barrow a spare amp exactly like the one currently have till I can make an order for my 18s n amp.

The amp is a 460w dual 300rms on the bridge. I have it powered and grounded with 8g ofc. Can I use my 4g power and ground I have ran already to power this amp?

I don't think 4g will fit the terminal but I can just cut off some or get a 4g to 8g input nub.

Im just wondering if I put a 60amp fuse in the 4g and hook it up to the amp will it be safe. The amp is gonna be on loan so I don't wanna mess it up.

yeah just make it fit don't have any strands sticking out of terminal, i've never had anything smaller than 4 ga even when i had 280w earthquake before some peeps here were born lol..
