Can it run at 1 ohm?

The plan is to get the new RF T10001bd for the 4 ohm DVC Type R's. But on a recent trip to the local shop a salesman told me even though RF claims its 1 ohm stable, it won't last long before shutting down at 1 ohm. Is this guy full of it? Anyone run theirs at 1?

the local shop here where i live said they was stable also. but they put a T30001 on 4 12's at 1 ohm and have burned 3 of them up. now the guy is running 2 T30001 on 6 T2's 12's. they only lasted a few hours at 1 ohm.

Running at 1ohm is always risky, I personally dont like to run at that low of a load, unless you have a very realiable amp. from what i have experenced rf amps dont like to be loaded down real low

Is it somehow possible to wire the DVC 4ohm subs to 2 ohms then? And nobody has any experience successfully running the new rockfords at 1 ohm?

Well if your that worried about it man, just get you a crossfire 1000 watt or a Directed 1100 watt, maybe even one of the boodles of 1200 watt amps that tons of companies make---orion, ed, kicker, viper (discontinued)----plus, its rockford, step up a notch into som real companies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, not dissin on u tho bro, just sayin since u havent bought amp yet...

RF is not a "real" company anymore? I believe they are still, very real.

old school rf was the shit. new school (just like alot of others) aren't as great. less quality. can't take as much abuse, etc.

the only other ohm load you could get would be 4, but i dont think that amp would put out near enough power for 2 type r's but i dont know the specs either

hardly. my 2500d barely got my dub7 to move wired at 3 ohms (just using as a reference).

divide the power at 4 ohms by 2 and you'll be seeing less per sub.

I wouldn't risk running a high dollar piece of equipment like that @ 1 ohm ever, but that's just me.
