Can it be run directly from a 12V Battery

I've got a TV Screen that apparently has come from a caravan:

How do I run it from a 12V Battery:

Here's the info from the Adapter Box:

EDACPOWER ELEC:

AC INPUT 100-240-1.8A,

DC OUTPUT 12V --- 5.0A

One end of the Adapter has a plug at the end of a wire similar to one of those AC/DC Adapters then you have the box which has the Kettle Plug type Pins.

Can it be run from a 12V Battery and if so do you know how?

first, plug in the adapter and use your DMM to measure DC voltage to determine if center is positive 12V or ground.

then you can cut that wire, splice in extensions that run to the battery with an inline 5A fuse. make sure you maintain proper voltage on the plug.

or just buy a new DC plug and wire it yourself so you still have the adapter. MCM Electronics sells DC plugs - you just need to determine what size yours is.
