Can I run 2000RMS with just a front battery and a new alt?

Can I run 2000RMS without putting a second battery in the back? I don't want to put a second battery I'd like to keep it just to one battery, and changing my 90A alt to a 200 - 270A (whichever works) alternator.

I'm looking at the Kinetic 2000, or the Deka 31.

yes you can, but use a deep cycle battery with that big alt, the bigger the alt more quickly your battery will be recharged, but if you are listening to music with the car turned off the battery will discharge quicklym so is better if your single battery is a good one..

Here was my last setup...

240a mechman alt

Duracell G34 (55ah)

DD m3a wired at 1 ohm nominal

The lowest drop I ever saw (not at idle... don't play at idle) was from 14.4 to 13.9. It usually dropped to around 14.2 at the lowest unless I played below tuning, that's when the bigger drops happened.

I have a singer 240 amp alternator with the big 3 and right now just the crappy stock battery in my lancer and I run a 3000 rms amp at 0.5 ohm and I hardly go any lower than 13.5v when I have it turned up.

Mist stock electrical system can handle 2k fairly easy. But you having only a 90 amp alt would prolly have a hard time. So the sky the battery and a big 3 kit. And you'll be golden
