Can I go active with componet crossovers still connected?

I went active on my 860mp today. What happens if I leave my componets crossovers connected? Would it sound the same or better without them?

you sir are not running anything fully active while still using the passive crossovers that came with your components. Unless you mean you turned on a hpf for the front stage otherwise you have made no changes..
