They will take the power, you just have to be smart with it.

I ran a 12w6v2 on an MTX 81000d for well over a year with no issues. You just have to keep the higher power CLEAN and they will take it fine.

Any clipping at hi volumes will toast one with the quickness...

clean as in no clipping. if you still dont understand about clipping, its turning the gain to the point where the sub distorts and will fry eventually. and it aint about hating, its about reality to where you think you can come up in here, ask for advice, be ignorant and become a nut hugger on a product you think is the best(which it aint, especially for what the MSRP is listed for). we all are trying to help you make better decision with which sub to get and for how much cheaper you'll get it for. and the w7 wont "nock(or knock) as hell", ITS MEANT FOR SQ(SOUND SQUALITY)....NOT NOCKING

hahaha, 560 for 1 sub? My 2 8's will put that w7 to shame and I only paid 175 shipped. You obviously do care about how loud it is or you would just get a w3 or w0 and run less power since your so high on JL.

JL guy put that sub on craigslist and get your money back and get a DC LVL4, AQ HDC, IA Death penalty, DD 3512 and a AQ1200. Then you will have a better sub and amp for what you paid for the W7.

What box do you plan on putting it in?

it will "nock" about as hard as a walmart sub, ur gonna be really sad and feel dumb when you have a over 1000 into your system and i roll up rockin 350 dollars worth of used equipment that jl cant even come close to touching and start shaking the ground you stand upon from 50 feet away and you go to get yours bumpin and it just releases flatulance from your vehicle. we all deny that the w7 is loud or even that great of a woofer, but to a dumbfuck like you with NO experience (or maybe some experience with someones stolen mtx thunder 10s in da hood) the w7 is top since you dont know the first thing about audio and wont listen to professionals. this guy is gonna get it and slap it in a .5 cube prefab sealed box and wonder what is going wrong with it. GET A REAL WOOFER.

You guys are being too hard on the W7. It's not the best, but it's a good sub. WAY overpriced, though. I'd compare it to the JBL WGTI series but at a higher price. Overhung but otherwise pretty good.
