personally i would get something other than the w7. from what i have seen they are pretty easy to send up in smoke. that said. if you want to run it, just pick up the jl amp. the 1k from alpine.

there are 100 subs on the market that will walk all over the W7 for half the price.

for spl... sundown nightshade, Incriminator audio Warden, Fi BTL, DC lvl 4 xl/lvl 5/lvl 6.

for sq Hybrid audio technologies will make the W7 sound like someone farting into a tin can,

i have heard quite a few W7s in the past. last comp i was at a guy was running a pair of 13W7's on ~2k and did 138 at 49hz. my single 15 on around 1700 did 142 at 47hz.

that said. since your jl boner is throbbing too hard to listen to reason. just get one of the slash 1k amps or pick up the 1k version of the amp you already have. both will run that sub just fine.

There's so many things wrong with this sentence.

It's really not good to come onto a forums asking for help and then calling people poor when they give you better suggestions so you don't waste hundreds of dollars on less output. There's a reason why people are suggesting NOT to use JL. Why spend almost $600 on a sub when you can get better for a fraction of the price?

had to sig this, this was the most ignorant and stupid statement i have heard in a while, the w7 is probably the lowest output woofer you can get for over 200 dollars new. good sq but every aspect of it can be beat by any real woofer. you made my day OP

also, half of the guys on here have wiring that costs more than your car, and set ups that cost more than your house.
