can 1700 watts do this to a vehicle?

Na, only fried one sub. The rest just kept breaking tinsels. First time around I fried one coil, then broke a tinsel on 2 other subs. At that point I decided to recone them all to dual 1, so I fried the other for fun. Then when I reconed, I didnt actually blow any subs, just broken tinsels on 3 subs. Just too much hassle for a daily car.

I had the gains and bassboost all the way down lol. Just with that much power in that enclosure it didnt work. Couldnt play music for any real period of time.

The amps were wired to .35. They took it fine, but the subs didnt. Then I reconed and wired to .7, and while it was a little better, tinsels kept breaking again and again. Just not worth it.

werd, although it is very impressive... If tinels were your main pain in the *** why not hop off the Fi fan ferry and run something else? AQ, DD, MT's, some AudioPulse, cactus??

I ran into 3 people this weekend talking about your vid..apparently myspace has made you famous.. I explained to the best of my knowledge what your setup consisted of and polished the story off with a "yeah and he f_cked all four subs up....twice!" haha

you really have no clue what you are doing. btw- you cant delete posts here.. or give me infractions.. so here we go:D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

-------Not going to happen. You're not insulting anyone, especially me.

This place is different not, and that **** doesnt fly anymore.

\
#1. its NOW not NOT (sorry, your pudgy little fingers must have mistyped) (again- THAT is an actual insult)

#2. get a clue and i wont have to insult you. 3/4's of the info you give out is flat out WRONG, the other 1/4 is only slightly skewed

#3. any idiot can put a few numbers into re's box calculator. doesn't make em worthy of paying money too. i would be SERIOUSLY skeptical of paying for a box design who has publicly stated such wondrous "facts" as "And a base BTL with the SPL option is the "loudest" BTL. It will do the best numbers, and is whats used in the SPL vehicles. If you're really going for numbers though, go for the MT. Its more of an SPL woofer as the BTL is more of a version of the MT adapted for daily use."

(link-http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/showthread.php?p=461125#post461125) again. just wrong.

#4. now, i know on the net (or i should say, on ROE), you really think you are something, but in the real world there is no "delete post" button.. i think you really need to calm down man. it is a forum, you did some idiotic

shit, i called you on it. wise up, learn your mistakes, and go from there:)

Have a good one chuckles! (or is it upchuck, i can never remember:()

with love from your #1 fan,

visitor, aka 02parkave, aka chad.

kisses sweetie.

It really wasnt the amps or the subs fault, i blame current //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

edit also 02parkave the stock 2 slug btl w/ pole chamf has near the same motor strength as a mt, supposedly does .1-.2db louder than the mt and will take a bit more power b/c of the larger coil. This is what scott told me over dinner back in 06.

edit #2, that post made me lol

oh- i believe you for sure! i just dont really think that the btl is an "mt adapted for daily use"... totally different woofer (as i know you are aware:))

If I'm not mistaking didn't you once argue against the current theory since power is a function of current*voltage?

the reason the tinsels were breaking is b/c of high current amp popping them. Regulated amps dont have that problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
