Camry alarm question

I've got a question about the stock alarm on my 98 Camry LE. I've searched for answers but couldn't find anything. My question is does the stock alarm (Karr) go off when the windows get smashed? I don't know if it does or not. I'm asking because I want to get a double din dvd hu.

No it will not. It will only go off if a door or trunk are opened while the doors are locked.

tint the windows, put a windshield visor when leaving your car in public parking spots. or upgrade your security alarm

Looks like i'll be upgrading alarms then. How much would a basic alarm install be with shock sensors?
