camp bandpass

ok here we go decided to try something different for my bonneville last box ported with 75 sq in of port 5 cubes diddnt do a whole lot of testing with but my top number with it was 145.6

now i try a bandpass on to the pics

here is tha base and a couple sides

here you can see the sub baffle and the front chamber and its port

here is the font the completed box veiw from the font baffle

and here is the main port lookin in

ok the run down

1 dd 9515 dual 4 ohm

2 memphis st1000ds strapped together

fisrt run 140.1 not happy at all when i saw that then i remember that i hadnt check to see if my amps were still matched well they were way off

now here is the other thing that is weird my car has always liked around 46 to 50hz so thats what iwas using

2nd test run was better 143.4

so now i decide to do a couple sweeps

turns out with this bandpass my peak was quite higher

3rd run and final for the night

148.6 db in a 97 pontiac bonneville

front fireing sealed off from the trunk

ive still got som tweaking to do seal up the trunk alittle better take some more time at matching my amps output and figure out the fequency deal

so what do you think

thats not a bandpass at all

it looks more like a folded horn

if u was going for a 6th bandpass.(cuz the front of the sub was ported as well as behind the sub)

u should have made the ported area in front of the sub bigger

but all in all good score...i feel u can do higher but for what u did thats good

yeah he did it quite awhile ago just got around to trying it out it was probably almost 6 to 9 month ago

he is a great guy. in fact a have i 6th order series tuned bandpass design from him to. just havent got around to building it.

but yeah ive never met anyone more knowedgable then him about box designs. to bad thier forum got shut down.there was alot of good information that went down witht that forum rip
