So i am thinking of taking a trip cali, north and south so location is not a problem. My question is what are some do not miss things to see on a trip, that someone might not think of if they are not from cali? (bars i do not care so much about )

Go to Lake Tahoe and spend your entire time there. Nothing beats Tahoe.

The Best thing to do in southern California would be to stay away! haha i live here trust me i know! The traffic sucks and nasty smog! but Theme parks you should def. visit are Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Knot's. If you have small children Disneyland is a must! and hey there doing there two fer thing now to. Buy a day at one park you can go to the other park the next day. Aquarium of the Pacific is great. A good half a day on Catalina is a must, they have feries that go out every 30 mins out of Long Beach //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif There are many museums down here mostly in LA but the one i suggest is the museum Of Science and Industry. Really cool! Right now they have Body Works going on which is extremely cool! google it! Pretty much real human bodies with no skin haha. There is alot of stuff to do! but time your drive'n! Dont drive anywhere near LA from 630-9 in the morning and 2:30 -5 at night! you have been warned!

I lived in Vallejo for 9 years. Its not too bad if you have good aim.
I would suggest taking a nice stroll through the Castro district and consuming everything that is offered to you.
