Cadence A7HC or Audiobahn A18001DQ????

I just bought 2 12" Kicker L7's and I've narrowed my choices down to the audiobahn A18001DQ or the cadence A7HC. The audiobahn has 600 more watts but a 0.05 thd compared to the cadence's 0.005 thd. I don't whether that difference in the thd will matter or not. What do u think i should do???

well if your going for SPL the extra watts will help and the THD will not really be all that noticable if it is at all, but the cadence I feel is a better amp, but wait and see what other peoples feelings are too, I think that audiobahn makes ok stuff but I think that the Cadence in this case is the better amp (SPL not being a factor)

cadence hands down is a MUCH MUCH better amp. power output i dunno i heard cadence underrates?? also aren't the audiobahn amps power hungry mother's at 1ohm??

I got 2 12L7's also (Dual 2-ohm). What size is your box? Mine is a 5.5 cu ft box tuned to 35hz. I am not sure on what amp to use either. I was thinking of the AudioBahn A18001DQ amp as well but may go for a JBL BP1200.1 amp. Then, when I get into comps get another JBL and run each amp to one 12L7 @ 1-ohm.

What does the Cadence amp put out @ 2-ohms?

What does the Cadence amp put out @ 2-ohms?

Cadence are underrated. I used to use cadence, but looking at straight up power, the audiobahn will put out more power. Either amp is a good choice of amps and you will not be dissappointed with the cadence A7HC.

They are both good amps, the a-bahn will do a little under 2000watts at 1 ohm, but is power hungry as said before.

i've said cadence before audiobahn is about the level of a EQ phd2 IMO except the phd2 will break on you like a lil piece of paper.

EQ amps hell yes. they claim .5ohm i have had one fry on me at 1ohm mono and that was after 25min of play. doesn't put out the power it claims eithe unless you do run .5ohm mono.

Not worried about price - out of these 2 which would be best to run 2 12L7's at a 2-ohm load - AudioBahn A18001DQ or a JBL BP1200.1 and why? Once again, don't compare because of price. I want comparisons based on SQ, reliability, and features.

They both are probably on the same level of clarity...both don't send the cleanest signals, but still good. They both put out about the same power at 2 ohms. The Audiobahn has a subsonic filter, which the JBL doesn't, and the dual cooling fans are always a plus on the A-bahn.
