Buying a new car

Saving my money for a while, and I'm almost ready to buy a new car. I'm 17... have a bad traffic ticket record, but when my license was taken away I wised up quite a bit. I've had loud, I've had low... now I don't know what's next. I parted out my truck for cash... and I am looking to finance 17-22k for a used car. I'm looking for a car I can enjoy stock for a while. Maybe rims, and that's about it for a while. I'll be entering college soon, and don't need another project.

I was looking at GTOs... but I'd only be able to afford an '04, and it's a little disappointing... considering the '05s are so much more improved.

Now I'm looking at Chargers... while I'm not a Mopar fan, I love the way they look... and the R/Ts are pretty quick. I'm a fan of Magnums too... but the Charger has my vote.

Any opinions? I'm stuck.

if you are going to start college soon, don't plan on being able to make car payments. its totally true that once you walk on campus you are instantly broke as fuck. maybe buy an $8-10k car that you can pay off before you start school. making car payments alongside paying for books and tuition will just net you bad credit, and a shit-ton of debt

No Blazer... the builder made it a hack job, and I don't wanna pay to get it fixed...and the financing don't worry about, I can afford it, I'm just looking for car opinions
