Burnt smell on vc help!!!!!

make sure one VC isn't wired out of phase as that will cause sub to get smelly instantly since the VC's are fighting each other. Yep I've done that once....

 
Maybe just run it at a medium volume for a bit and see if you still get that odor. If you do, then it's probably not the voice coil. Is the odor stronger closer to the woofers? Just wondering if you have ruled out any other part of the wiring besides the voice coils.
