Burning smell with EVERY subwoofer I seem to use? Brand new L7 now.

So question, if I went to best buy right now and bought 2x 10 CVR (2ohm) you think it would hit big time louder than this L7? I know it's far more cone space, but I'm talking in general.

Set your gains like has been said a hundred times and get the sub a good box. It will be much better. Sell the prefab to someother tard like you on craigslist. Make sure you post how much retail is, idiots eat that up

To be entirely honest, I get your cockyness and all that, really this is prob your "domain" to play in and talk down, and I wouldn't want to take that escape away from you, or even remotely interfere, it's your own world. Dude..... go to radio shack, buy a cheap DMM (mine cost about $20) set your gains correctly and go from there. I had the same issue with my 18 (before i fried my amp) The sub smelled like it was burning. i had the gain set by ear. your not going to be able to physically hear if your sub is clipping. after i set my gains correctly the smell went away. Just set the gain right like everyone has told you.

Not really, I do the kinda the same he does on other forums (troll), I just think he shouldn't even attempt giving advice if he's going to be a d*ck about it, disputes the entire purpose of helping someone, all of his comments from the go have been pretty much a smack in the face to anything I've bought, as if he's on a superior high and mighty level, which is fine, I just like to point it out.
