purchasing 1 12 inch kenwood 1200 watt sub 400 rms.. need help with perfect amplifier

the exact sub is kfc-w3013ps.... im only buying one i dont want 2 subs. Not sure what amplifier to get need the perfect amp. i was looking at the kenwood 1000 watt amp but i keep reading reviews that kenwood amps overheat so need some help..

i hear this sub is good and its cheap on amazon so ima try them out.

300 probably.... thing is that sub is about 50 on amazon box 40.... and then amp.... amazon has everything so cheap lol...why do u say they aren't good?

Ebay also has those subs for 50 with free delivery. Everyone does now. That should tell you something. They're just not good subs. Hence the 50 dollar price tag. And don't buy a prefab box. They're usually too small and tuned too high. Junk.

300 bucks.... Hmmm... Should be able to do better than the Kenwood. Have you looked in the classifieds and can you install the stuff yourself?

no i haven't.... i know i can do better but also looking for best i can get for cheapest.... still got to buy wiring kit and converter plus not sure who I'm having install it yet

You don't need the "perfect" amp if you're going to go with such a low-end sub, esp with only a $300 budget for an amp, sub, and enclosure.

Seems that all you are looking for is cheap, so why not just take nismos14 up on the Kenwood amp?

For $50 your not going to get even a decent sub. I hate saying this but you would be better off spending about $20 more and getting a W0. $150 is about the point you start to get a better woofer.

Looks like Kevin from Skar Audio is online. iirc he was offering B-stock VVX-12's for like $140 shipped.... way better than ur Kenwood

^^^This. I know it's tough on a budget but if I could do it all over again (from my first setup as a newb) I would've saved up for a piece at a time and did it right. Yeah you might have to wait a couple months to get everything but in the end you'll be a lot happier you did that.
