ok,i finally decided im gonna be building my own box for my two 12" SE's and i need some help i see people say when they build there box they tune their boxes? like Tune it to 35hz and stuff i have no idea what this means could someone explain please.. i have no idea how you tune a box..

u tune a box by porting. it has to be a specific length, with a specific area (height x width) for the net volume of the enclosure. keep in mind that net volume INCLUDES the port displacement as well...

contact re and they will be able to give u a recommended box volume with port length and port area. then u build a box to give u those measurements (oh yeah, don't forget to make sure it will fit..lol)

also...check with someone from gnomeaudio or a few other individuals..for a small fee, they will design u a ported box for ur subs..
