Building a friend a system.. big budget

My friend owns a 350z and has everything stocked out right now. He is planning to buy an In-dash headunit with all those goodies. But what i am concentrating on the most is his actual setup. With a 350z the trunk is kinda small and basically can roughly fit a nice 12. He is looking for SQL, and was planning to buy a W7. Yes, i was quite surprised myself, but i do not want him to spend all his money on a w7 where you can buy a better sub that can even get louder than that. My question is, What sub out there that is cheaper than a W7, gets loud, and has that quality?

What do u guys suggest?

i would go with something like a treo tsx or a w6v2. i know a guy that runs a xxx sealed in that same car and it sounds good. what is he doing for highs/mids and amplification? any processing?

for the amp... i will figure out once we figure out what kind of sub he will be getting. for the highs and mids.. havent decided yet.

those cars have very little room, so i suggested 2 8w7's in his hatch since he didnt want to anything big. sounded awesome i say tell him to get the same system. those 2 8's got really really loud i think he had 600rms on each. dont remember the amp he had

fyi, most of the 350z i seen the subs are pointed upwards also.

SI MAG out of all those choices, xxx and brahma won't be out for awhile, rl-s is a beast for that car.....

If you want a small box get a pair of 12" Rlp's and put them in sealed. As long as you throw a lot of power at them you can have the boxes be about 1.1cuft (net) for each sub. Huge bass for a box that only eats up 2.5cuft total (1.1*2 +.15*2)

i just heard a 12 mtx9500 and was very very impressed by the spl output on this speaker....it surprised me how loud this one 12 was...still not louder than my 15xxx obviously but it was pretty ****in loud

not enough room in that car to do a w7 12" ported.
