Building a box today - advice

I'm building a bigger box for my 2 Diamond Audio D6 12" speakers, they're in a prefab box tuned to 33hz right now, and they're just not slamming as well as I'd like.

I'm running a 06' zX1000.1 to them.

Could I get some possible box dimensions? Will measure my trunk if needed to get max dimensions, but it's a Pontiac Grand Prix, not TOO much space to work with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I would prefer a sealed box that can hit low. Watched some sick youtube videos of IA Lethal Injections and got super jealous that with my current setup I can't hit with that much power. (I know I'll probably not be able to either way anyways..)

also, I'm running 1/0AWG wire all the way back, but I still haven't done the Big 3 yet, would I notice a sound difference due to the lower amount of voltage drops?

Yes, less voltage to your amp = less power output = audible decrease

Yeah, just didn't/don't know how significant it would equal out to be.
Any idea on how many cubes I'd want to make a sealed box for hitting 26hz~ ??

Just sick of having the higher 40-70hz bass, while anything below that falls flat on it's face in terms of power.

No idea, not much experience in building sealed boxes.

You could try downloading WinISD and modeling it...

However I'm fairly sure a properly built/tuned ported box can hit lower than a sealed box.

Do a big ported box tuned to 30 hz or so. How many cubic feet is that box?

Are you sure that prefab is tuned to 33hz? Seems kinda low for a prefab box...

Ok, the current prefab box measures in at 16 length x 36 width x 13 height.

I could accommodate up to 30-32 length, and probably 14 height, the width makes the box actually get jammed in, so I can't go any wider.

The port is 3 inch wide, 12 inch tall, and 12 inch deep (slot ported in between the subwoofers)

Are you sure that prefab is tuned to 33hz? Seems kinda low for a prefab box...

I won't even lie, I doubt it, just going by what they told me.... which most likely 99.9% is bullshit. Posted the measurements about to do a little research.

You just build a new box man, if you build a decent sized ported box, tuned to around 32hz I'm pretty sure you'd be happy with the outcome.
