My buddy bought a ported prefab enclosure from here...

the quality is pretty good for the price. If you can't afford to have a good builder build you one I'd recommend them for a budget build.

Nothing like a double baffle , maybe some bracing and 3/4 all around if you're gonna beat it up hard. I've heard of prefabs coming apart. Try to build one if possible .

u can get almost anything for $250 (my sub and box were $210 lol pretty loud) if u can fit a 15 look at sundowns dc's maybe., measure height of internal truck at lowest point., if can fit a 15.5" box u need to go with 12" if not spending much on box.. if u want nice box and sub look at link I gave u ebay he sells few brands call him ask what he'd charge u for box for what ever sub u want and the sub with shipping, u have nice sub and box once u pick sub then we help with amp and make sure u get correct ohm sub for certain amp

For a $250 sub your best bets are as follows: CAB-Ultra, Sundown SA or SSA GCon **This is just my opinion, there are tons of great options out there!

How much are you wanting to spend on an amp? I recommend 750-1000w rms for any of these woofers. This also will be good with your budget to not need to upgrade any electrical.

hey that's right I forgot about cab sub (which I thought about getting just last month) could get cab 3" coil d4 sub $149 and cab amp for $199 have 1200rms to it., and amp shouldn't even get hot.. or cab ultra or the others mention most 2.5" coil d2 and get the rockford 750.1 good amp..

The CAB amp is a great foundation try a EVL Skar 12 they offer loaded boxes on ebay... and If you go with a dual 2... well lets just say you'll probably be pushin' it a little past it's limit... Dual 4 and you'll have a perfect match. The box is already built and loaded... unless you would like to build your own...

These EVL's are no joke they have almost DC level 4 performance for $199 online...

Loaded boxes are around $275 shipped to you... unless you want to do a real build this is a great option $475 shipped and ready to go!

If someday you want to add a second sub this amp will have no problems at 1 ohm and a second $199 sub will make a built enclosure a trivial thing... Then you're looking at electrical upgrades for sure... Lots of great advice on this forum... This is one option.

I'd second that cab ultra, it's a beast. I haven't hooked it up cause I'm waiting on a custom box that's being built but it was shipped promptly and it looks great. I grabbed a b-stock model that has a blemish for 179$ there b-stock is sold out but they just got back in some sd sa12's for 175$ not sure which revision it is but there nice for that price.
