Another question I have is I need to build a false floor for the trunk but the trunk has ear/flaps (where the side panels are going). What is the best way to build that type of floor?

Do i get a really really wide sheet or can I add "flaps" to a center board?

i wouldnt even worry about anything past the slanted side pieces....

Update 4-21-06

I have both of the false sides made and the crossover mount for the CDT's is fab'd up....onto the amp rack for the spare tire, I have no idea what to do!!

Currently where the US Amp sits in the spare well, I have 7" till the top/limit before it reaches what will be the bottom of the false floor. If anyone can shoot me some basic design ideas it would be great help.

make a panel that covers the whole floor out of 1\2" or something, and then make a raised up platform for the usamps and cut a hole in the top to see the top of the amp and put some plexi in there or just let the top of the amp stick thru level with the top of the board.

make sure the platform under the usamps is level and makes the amp raise up to the top of the 1\2" board.
