Completed the trunk template layout....

CDT Crossover mount

Power distro blocks mount

Behind the false wall firing through the ski-pass at unsuspecting passengers will be......

This evening I will finish up filling the gaps in the templates and recheck everything fitting.

Couple questions I have:

What thickness of MDF should I use for the side panels?

Is 1" MDF too thick for a false floor?

i would go with something like half inch mdf for the false floor and sides just to keep weight down do the *** end of the car doesnt sag

but that box looks freakin awesome good luck with it all

looks great so far. 5/8" mdf for the floor would work, for the sides/false wall you can go small, like 1/4"

For the side panels what is the thinnest MDF I could use (1/4" or possibly thinner) while keeping room for mounting little plexi windows on the cutouts in the panels?

I'd say go w/ 1/4", any thinner may result in bending/flexing.

What would the best way to mount acrylic/plexi cutouts on the boards?

Put a mounting baffle on the backside of the panels, or use a router to make a groove for them to sit in.

I have a question about the side panels I am building; I am going to "pressure" mount them in place between the floor and the top of the trunk and securing with velcro (just incase). What is the best type of bit to notch the cut with to fit the acrylic/plexi window?
