Buiding portable PA system out of car speakers and stereo.

Ok I am not sure where to put this but this seems to be closest seeing as the enclosure is the part I have no clue about. Wiring is dead simple.

I am trying to march in a parade and want to have a bit of a sound system for a song or two. I was wracking my brain trying to come up with some speakers until I realized I have a dead truck with a working radio and speakers. I am going to pull out the 2 back speakers and the radio and mount them and my car's battery on an external frame backpack I have. I plan on making the enclosure out of some cheap particle board I have laying around.

Is there anything I need to pay attention to? Can I just mount them to a sheet of ply wood or do I need to enclose them? I believe they are 6X9 but it is midnight so I am not gonna pull them at the moment.

Does it need to be sealed or should I put some holes in it?
sealed is fine. Ported if you want some bass response but it has to be properly designed and tuned with proper knowledge and electromechanical parameters of the speaker itself. Sealed is a no brainer, build a cube and throw the speaker in there.
