Budget system for sister

Aight guys My sister just called and wants a little bump in her ride. She said she wants to stay under 300 bucks. I dont think she realizes that she has to buy wires and all the other little stuff it takes for an install. Im going to be doing the install for her so that will be free. I can also build a box for her.

She said she just wants it to sound good it doesnt have to be super loud.

Has anyone had experience with some of the loaded sub boxes? How about the basslinks or bazooka tubes? My wife had a collins bass tube years ago and it actually sounded decent.

So lets hear some ideas?

My Powered Bazooka tube lasted a long as time, 4+ years. My brother had it in his civic and it was the first thing I had in my car. I had some bump but not too much. Might fit the bill nicely...

But why not go with an AA Arsenal and a cheap amp?

Ya I thought about the AA but then I would have to build a box and do a little harder install. She lives quite aways away from me and we barely see each other so this would have to be a 1 day install. Thats why I am thinking something already amplified and in a box.

Do those AA's work well in a sealed box?

Go with my setup......some stock speakers may have to be used but everything can be purchased for around $300 or close to it.......Thumps very well....

I'm talking just the subs and box......the amp might have to be a used purchase....

Subs are $60 each at wal-mart.....
