Bridgeing. Or two channel powering 1 sub.

I have this little 2 channel 140 watt max amp. got it for 3 bucks at a yard sale a long time ago, peice a crap, but I got no money right now to aford a new better more powerful amp. The money I got im goin to buy me a Pioneer MP3 Player.

Anyway, to the point.

If I hook up a sub to the amp wiring the Positive Right, Negative Left, for the poles of the sub, will I get 140 to that?

maybe half of that in constant power if you are lucky- for $3 doesn't hurt to try- but yes that could be the right way to bridge it, unless its pos left/ neg right as some amps are
