I am deciding to put a 15" Kicker Comp VR in my vechile. I was wondering if the HiFonics Brutus 500D would work good enough? The sub would be wired in at 1ohm and be in a sealed box. The only reason I'm asking this is becasue I asked a guy at the car audio shop here in town and he said HiFonics don't put out what there rated to. He also said he's never heard of Resonant Engineering. Anyways would this amp push this sub pretty good? Will it put out the power its rated at?

that would be more than enough or just about right. my friend powers one w6 off of a 500d and it definitely gets loud. my suggestion is to go with the 1000d in case u want to upgrade to two subs later.
