Breaking in new subs?

Ok guys I'm almost done with my build I'm the box is lost totally together just got mount the subs. But before I wire them up I have a question.

1. Being DVC 750w RMS, having 2 of them, should I break them in at 4ohm or should I just go ahead and wire them in parallel down to 1ohm and break them in that way.

Like since I'm gonna be using them at 1ohm is that how I should break them in or would breaking in be better if I did it at 4ohm?

Also I have the dual channel mono block... I was curious if anyone could tell me what options for wiring this gives me if any.

Thanks for your time,

Scotty

Like this?

It just means the channels are summed internally.

The dual connections allow for two seperate speaker wire runs to be parallel connected to the amps mono output.

Am thinking that it let's u get away with a smaller wire during parallel runs that u would normally need a larger guage for if you paralled them at the sub/encloser.

Lie they said, hardware break in is moot. But if it's new to you, allow yourself some break-in time to find the limits gently.

Ye. Was just gonna series them to one ohm n go for it... And yes there are dual channel mono blocks, I have one... I am just curious how it works if there anything to be gained by using both channels...but it's all good I got it

Mono means one. Can you show me this unicorn?

Now there are dual monos but they are rare full range amps that are two monos in one case.

never wire them in series, start off with the lowest ohm load you'll be running them, set the gain right, then lower your sub level and see how the sub handles the power and box+box tuning. Then just go up in sub level and let it wang hard. This is first start up. There is no need for any form of breaking in.

I know what he means. And you are right. But he needs to know that also.
My bad, didn't know I was saying it wrong lol. I knew that they were connected together inside I just don't know what to call that beside dual channel being that there are 2 of the same channel I didn't say 2 channel for a reason.

Also thank you for recommending the FU750s way back man I'm so happy with them. I was at the gas station getting crazy looks and the then had a big ole crowd checking them out at 12:30 last night. I can even turn it up half way before my side windows start flapping so bad they look like they may break any second lol!!!!!

That’s pretty common these days. But it’s still a mono. It’s the same as having one output.

I break in my woofers... Spiders like to rip when they are brand new and you go full tilt... I wouldn't know though..... Never had that issue......... *Cough* Soundqubed HDC3s.. I just go easy on them for a week to loosen up the spiders.
