<-- Yes, that's me.
Current at the moment is an IB 10" sub, Infinity Perfect 10.1. 200 watts to use or so.
I want to build the most efficient system possible for a low end performance. Aiming at everything below 50-60hz, down to around 25hz, is my target area. An even performance curve is not necessary, I'm looking at a swappable build type, where I can move to the IB setup when I'm looking for a more SQ approach. More of a DD, type, however, rather than a one note wonder.
Objective is to build a low powered, single sub setup, that can surprise people, but not on a tone, but on music.
From what I can see, I'm thinking a big 6th order bandpass is ideal for this. I may build it in the trunk if I'm doing a large enough box.
I'm looking at recommendations for tuning/sizing. Didn't get anything back in the general discussion area.
I have access to wood and PVC piping. My dad's a plumber.

Current thoughts, after playing with WinISD, are a 3 cube section @ 27hz, and a 1.5 cube section @ either 44 or 50 hz.
At the 50hz tuning, I lose about a decibel between 31 and 41, but gain massively on the upper end, and with a similar low end due to the similar low tuning for the other side.
Comparing it to a 32hz tuning on a typical ported box @ 3 cubes (large for a single 10 anyways), I gain quite a bit everywhere except 31-34hz, which has around a 2db difference.
Suggestions? Recommendations?
