Box size for an 18

Ok so I built a box and installed it in my car and the sub moves way too much off of the 150 watts I'm sending it. The Box is about 5 cu ft sealed. The woofer is a custome recone I got from teampsi. Is my box to big for. Sealed setup ? And if so what shop the box size be?

take it down to 3.5 and see what happens. 5 cubes is big enough to port most 18s

I've tried to talk to alot of people and Ive tried serching. I wasn't sure cuz specs and requirments vari for sub to sub and recones don't come with a manual lol

on the team psi 18, try 5 cubes ported to 32hz with 80sq" of port.

I doubt the teampsi sub will do well sealed (bl, btl, sx, mt are all like this)

unless you specifically had it built that way.

The box has a slanted back and 1 slanted side. So it's an odd shape. It's so big that I had to assemble the box in the trunk because it wouldn't fit through the trunk opening. Now because the box is a wierd shape does this mean I can't port It because I am gunna have a hard time putting a baffle in. But can I use some adjustable aeroports?

If it's sealed and you were looking for lows a big box that's effecient is a good thing. How loud your sub will get down low is just depends how far the cone moves whether it takes 100 watts or 1000 watts.

the shape of the box has nothing to do with if you can port it or not

jesus fawk! 5 cubes is good for an 18 ported like stated! use like 4 4" ports and be done with it! or two 6" ports... yes u can use aero ports!
