-Box Riddle- What's Loudest In Sealed Trunk?

Alright... The last design I had didn't come off very pleasing... So this is kinda like a riddle... I have two 05 L7 12"s with an Orion 1200D pushin them... In my old car, they got ridiculiously loud... I now have a Caprice ... So now it's fully sealed off, whole system in trunk, can't fold the seat down or anything... The good thing is, I pretty much have unlimited trunk space... I'm just not real good with what's loudest... I need some help on figuring what I need to do to make it loud...

Im an idiot when it comes to this, but I do know that ported it louder then sealed. And ported requires a bigger box. If that helps at all.

what is your ? hardhittaz... are you asking for a box plan... give the available space and i'd be more than happy to design one for you

Well... The box that's in there now is 36" x 26" 14" ... But I'd almost like to have a box with the subs on top... I dunno if that'll make a difference in my trunk or not... Cuz it seems like no matter what way I turn the box, the subs/port are close to a wall... On the toop they'd be fine...

Guy in a Regal did 149.x and 122 in drive by IIRC with 4 Memphis? 10"s off 3000 watts I believe, sealed box in a trunk. Snoopdan knows.

Oh yeah... I'm sure I could go much bigger... I just want to know what will be the loudest... Cuz I know all the sound is trapped in the trunk... So I didn't know if a ported box was at an advantage like it normally is... Or if a sealed box would work better with this... Should I take some max dimensions?

Alright... I took some quick measurements... My max dimensions are about 44wide x 27long x 15 high... But I don't know which way I should face the ports or subs to get the best sound out of it... Someone today told me I'd have the best sound with a bandpass box... Dunno if that's true or why, just throwin it out there... All I know is I need some help...

tune it to like 36 for those kickers, tuning low wont make you louder. also you should make some 4" port holes in your rear deck to allow the bass to enter your cab, that should help.

That was my original Idea... But noone would help me... And I was told to use 6" PVC and remove my 6x9's... Sooo... If somebody could help me... I'd love to start building Friday...

just take out those 6x9's and leave the exposed holes
