good point but my two 12'' L7's banged pretty hard, and i drive like a maniac ...never loosened my screws on my L bracketsEven if you were to drill into the sheet metal wouldnt you want to use a bolt and not a screw? Excessive vibrations can cause the screw to back out as well as inertial forces pulling on the box in heavy cornering might cause the screw to pull out of the hole and strip out.
just make sure you check beneath where you are drilling. lift up the trunk carpeting to see if anything is beneath it and the sheet metal. then check below the sheet metal of where u are drillling...its the same concept of drilling a ground into ure chassisok i just really dont wanna go too far and knick a wire or puncture something ya know?.... and use L brackets to right?
go with the L bracketsso would i be fine with normal screws and L brackets or forget that and try to figure another way? cuz i wont b bolting em i dont think i cant ge tto taht easily
yeah man as long as you pay attention to where ure drillling you will be perfectly fine. just dont use cheap screws!i think where i wanna drill is right above the axel.... i wanna drill between where the sparetire is and the gas tank which would be like right above the axel... i have a 2000 altima gxe... think ill b fine?
