box help

ok, i have a box, 31 wide,16 deep, 13 1/2 tall. 5/8" partical board, i have two 12" alpine type r's 1222d's. wired down to 2ohms on a kicker zx1000.1 amp 2 ohms stable. i have 3" ports in between the speakers(just holes cut in the board)

is there anything i can do to make it louder? add pipe to the port? enclose it?

and opinions will be nice!

box is to small for 2 type r's ported - rebuild the box, tune it proper - it will be louder!
