box help

I'm thinking about 2 8" Sundowns in a ported box for my reg cab tacoma.

My outside dimensions would be:

43" wide

11.75" tall

5" top depth

7.5" bottom depth

This comes to 1.27^3.

After displacement of the subs and port is this large enough a box? How long of

port to tune to 32hz? I'll be using 3" PVC.

also to small to port. needs to be bigger

Oops, this was with 5/8" mdf. I can build it taller and use 3/4" if i need to.

Looks like Sundown updated their site with the E8 since i was there last.

It says .6cf @ 30hz tuning for ported. I listen to 80% metal should i tune it higher like

36-40hz?
