box help please...

ok so im building my first ported box with my dad right... I have an SWR1242 (05 type R). I want to get really loud and pound my guts...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif but at the sametime i want to keep my sound quality.basically im looking to get some good sql out of this enclosure. this box will be going in a saturn sl1 95. The demensions i have to work with in my trunk are 16in length up & down 36in width 17in depth.Also im trying to buy either a Alpine MRD 1005 or a MRD1000 which ever one is better. what do you think between these 2 amps is the better one?
