Box is 38 1/2" wide and 18 1/2" high, don't remember how deep off the top of my head. Goes all the way back and touches the back trunk wall. Think it's around 28" deep...
You would subtract the space the aero's will take up, so that box is not big enough as you'll also need bracing in there.

You can fit 47" wide in your car???

Im not positive, but I would not be suprised. My former coworker had a 79 Caddy Sedan De Ville and I know that trunk was almost 60" of width. My car has 42" and I could go a inch or so wider, but I like to have space just to make sure. I have alot more depth that a caprice trunk though....
