for 2) HD3 15"s amp is an MM4000.1D

34" wide (can go to 38" if you must)

26" deep (can go to 30" if you must)

16.5" tall

tuned to around 38Hz

just a daily driver but i would love it to SLAM. Port/Subs rear facing prefered... Or subs rear and port forward (firing into cabin) if you think that would be best...

Thank You

I have tried subs rear facing and port to the side in trunk cars and it sounded the best like that but hey half of the people on this forum never listen to anything I say anyway so whats the difference I dont know anything!!!

I would do the dimensions listed about with about 60" of port about 14" long subs facing rear and port to the side of the box passenger side

thanks I`m listening regardless what anybody else thinks.

Did mine at 18" for a 38Hz tune, but extened it to about 21" for a 35Hz tune. Box is 38 1/2" wide and around 18 1/2" high and the subs JUST fit by staggering mounting them a little. Also with your box being shorter you'll need a wider port to get enough port area, that's why I said no way putting subs/port on the same side.

I'd do port out the side, only real way to make it work. HD's sound very good at 35Hz and still slam. I do want to go back to 38Hz just to see how it sounds not that I've got my front stage dialed in better.

so is your port 7" wide?

You can see the extra piece of 3/4" on the right side...

I don`t think I`ll have that problem becuase of the type of car it is going in a 1986 Chevy caprice which is wider then your car my internal measurements for the box is38.5"w x 18.5"h x 21"d =8.42 cu.ft. ...with spkr displ for 2 15s =.46 cu.ft. so 8.4-.46=7.94 cu.ft now do I have to add the port to the 8.4 cuft. of the box? or better yet how wide is your box and how high and how deep? for my box including port it is 47 inches wide externaly.

Box is 38 1/2" wide and 18 1/2" high, don't remember how deep off the top of my head. Goes all the way back and touches the back trunk wall. Think it's around 28" deep...

You would subtract the space the aero's will take up, so that box is not big enough as you'll also need bracing in there.

You can fit 47" wide in your car???
