Box Design

I need help on a box design. I've done several sealed but none ported. I have a 15" Kicker L7 2008 model year dual 4ohm. powered by a Hifonics Brutus 1200.1 d. It's goin in a 94 Honda Accord sedan. Currently I have a sealed box 32wx16hx16d but it was a pain to put in. so i want a ported box. i have 32Wx14Hx27d to work with. I want a sub up port back type of box. I listen to mostly rap, hip hop and spanish music so idk whats a good tuning frequency. Im willing to pay through paypal. Thanks

Yes but usually the results aren't quite as well. Depends on how it's done.

So would port facing foward be better in my case since if its facing back the port will be directly in front of a metal panel

You will want it firing rear.

The only times a horizontal port would be necessary is if you are making a large box that needs a lot of port area (most boxes that are 10+ cubes utilize this)
