yes if i make the box 23" tall, 29.5" wide, and 19" deep it will be 6.09 cubes before displacements

that wouldn't be too big you don't think? Sundown recommends between 4-5 cubes for NSv1 18

Port is really small like less than 12 per cube try to get to 16 per cube

My 18's in 4 cubes were really peaky around tuning of 37hz in 5 cubes per played pretty well I am currently building a 12 cube box for 2 of them with 230 inches of port tuned 30hz

I dont really have time currently if those measurements are the most roon you got shoot for 5.5 at least just get port area up. I have customers boxes I am working on currently.

okay, how many sq inches of port should i shoot for overall? also how do i calculate how many sq inches of port?

Square inches of port is just width x height shoot for 16inches of port per cube. Not to be mean nut not knowing this not sure you should be trying to design the box til you do some more reading.

Oh once you do that divide the answer by the amount of cubic feet you have and it will give you the square inches of port per cube.
