Box Design Help Needed - 4 15" CVRs

I just upgraded my system, and am doing 4 15" CVRs in my trunk on (2) Brutus 2000W Amps. 1 per 2 subs.

Im running into a problem trying to fit them all in my trunk, a 2005 Impala.

I dont want to face them upwards, Id rather have them all facing towards the back of the trunk, as this will sound louder.

Ported or sealed doesnt matter to me, I know CVRs sound good in sealed boxes.

Anybody have any box designs or ideas? Thank you.

you have nowhere near enough room for 4 of those ported. i just did a guys hatchback acura with 1 15 inch cvr, and the optimal box is 5 cubes. i did 4.6 cubes. 4 sealed will be an issue as well in a trunk. btw, 1 15 inch cvr ported, on 600 watts, was actually kind of impressive. didn't expect it to get that loud.

Well what about 2 regular ported boxes, 1 box for each pair? I could stick one in the backseat, and 1 in the trunk.
not that great of an idea. either do 2 of them sealed or 1 ported. you may possibly fit 2 ported in a slightly under sized box. 3 cubes per sub is about as low as you want to go with those CVR's ported.

im not sure on the space in your trunk, but 2 15"s in the proper size ported box would be your best option, they do require a lot of space for 15"s. maybe think about trading them off and getting 2 15"s that can handle 2kw each.

or wall it... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif

type R 15's get LOUD, probably get 2 for the price of 4 kickers, and they actually do quite well in smaller ported box (by smaller i mean 3-3.5 ft^3) or you could do 2 sd2.5 15's, and sell one of your amps to fund a nicer front stage (and 2 sd2.5's 15's will get LOUD on 2k watts)

was that real or a joke?
Real. Its a show car, and by doing this, I have just gotten a lot more ideas.

Im going to build a ported box for 2 15's, exact specs for the CVRs, in my backseat.

I am taking out my backseat completely, and doing the box with a custom fiberglass cover. So now I have room to put my 2 8gal air tanks for my bags, I just need to get those chromed and they will look nice on display. The 2 amps will be mounted right on top on display also.

Im going with a sealed box for 2 15s in the trunk, and ported in the backseat.

you can make the box smaller than the specs just to improve power handling on the cvr's
there is a giant difference other than just power handling. a single 15 inch cvr gets pretty dam loud in 5 cubes. you are just wasting money and power by doubling the sub and amp to power it, and getting no better results and will actually suffer on the lower notes. it's nonsensical.

if you want more subs in smaller spaces, get a much more efficient sub than the cvr
