Ok, here is the rundown. My car audio guy thinks I should build a box that seals off the trunk and make the subs fire into the cab of my jetta (mk3) (also make the box a sealed enclosure) that way My bass is way cleaner and I "feel it more". So now bass would enter the trunk. On the Flipside I was thinking about making A ported box (I did pop like 150 worth of dynamat in the trunk) and get more bass. I would make it to kicker specifications, add a little foam in the box. and maybe put an extra wall or two between each sub. What do you guys think?

DO U COMPETE? OR R U GONG FOR JUST GOOD SOUND? SEALED BOXES SOUND GOOD,BUT THATS NOT FOR ME.I WOULD ADD A SUB AND GO FOR A PORTED BOX,THEY POUND SO MUCH HARDER,I WOULD TRY TO FIRE SUBS UP AND PORT BACK,OR FIRE BOTH UP NOT TO SURE BECAUSE I HAVE ONLY DONE WORK ON 3 OR 4 JETTA'S IN MY TIME.. IF U GO TO (EARTHQUAKE AUDIO.COM) AND CHECK OUT THE GALLERY LOOK FOR THE ONE THAT HAS (ih) ITS THE ONLY ONE WITHOUT DISPLAY PICTURE,SHOULD BE THE LAST ONE ON THERE,,THATS A LITTLE OF WHAT IM IN TOO SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND Y I WOULD SAY GO PORTED....

ported but dont do subs up. thats terrible and will have cancelation. do subs and port foward to the cabin and seal off the trunk with expanding foam. trust me i do 153s out the trunk with one sub and one amp.
