Box builders

Hello all.

I have an Idea I would like to share with the Forum box builders who are charging money for designs. I think a test of accuracy would be a good way to show future customers that they are indeed very good at what they do. I propose we each design a single specific box for a given install. It will be reviewed and publicly shared with the forum for results. This would be a good way to weed out the bad from the good designers.

A simple ported enclosure in the shape of a rectangle is ideal. As this is what most designs being supplied consist of.

Now I know most will ask "who are you to judge any of us" right. I don't see this as a judgment, more so a guide for people to use. I will also enter the design contest. And I'm hoping if people are interested I can get a couple known brains to lend a helping hand (Jmac maybe;) ) If he's even still around anymore lol.

So any builders/designers interested???

Or is this a bad idea...

Im down im so bored i have nothing better do to kinda i think it depends actually i dunno i might be let me know if someone wants to send me the design and me build it math> me

i say a bigger box with a higher tuning to be honest. (within a certain "max" demensions") because most people wont use 6 cubes at say 40-50 hz...is it possible to have it where u cant use a program? those things tell more lies than anything.

A large high tuned box can be used. I see no reason a single design is going to take away from anyone's business. So we will see.

And this test would be program free. All mathematical equations would be required.

Oops there go 99.8% of the possible interested people:laugh:

aahhahahahahahhaha i hate those **** programs. i say we all have to show steps for the equation as well. so if we feel suit, we can check the others work. a single plan can take away from business, i have people asking for 2.5 cubes at 32 hz DAILY. i alreayd have the math done, just have to model it out to their needs. a port length at a certain volume is the same no matter how wide/narrow/tall the box is. (seeing as port area is the same)
