BUMP
Got a little accomplished today, but not a whole lot. Screwed/glued the port assembly down, and screwed and glued the dowel rods(which are being used as braces to prevent the top panel from flexing). The pictures are before they were glued down, hence why they don't look perfect.
I temporarily but the chevy logo on the back with a small dab of glue and 2 screws not screwed in all the way. Just wanted to see how it looks, and I'm impressed! Gonna build up the edges with some bondo sometime to give it a look as though it's coming out from the box. Should be nice
I need to bondo the entire box and sand it down a couple times, as well as resin the inside. How many coats would be suitable, and what sort of hardener-resin ratio do I need for my mixture? Never really worked with resin or anything like that before.
And here are a couple pics, sorry there dark, barely took them around 10 when it was already dark:
The chevy logo stuck in place on the back. So nice.
The dowel rods in the box.
A picture of the port. Gonna paint it a glossy black after I resin it.
An aerial view of the box. It's almost all the way assembled!
Until next time, adios.
