box build for my s10

well lets hear it lol. ive been reading up and trying to find the best place to get a small sheet of plexi for the past few hours since you mentioned it.....really considering doing it.

so i may go with pro-rabbits idea he brought to the table. just waiting to hear back from a company on a price for a custom cut piece. if the price is right i will order it, but in the mean while im still sanding lol

how do you accurately measure the volume of a glassed box like yours.... I would think that it would be quite difficult due to the fact that it is not a "normal" shape?
well i got the estimate from the frame dimesions.... to get the final volume you have to use packing p-nuts and fill the box and do alittle bit of calculating to get the true volume.

well i was hoping to have some updates but been waiting on my plexiglass to arrive. it will be here tuesday. so this weekend plan is to get it ready so that all that needs to be done is the plexiglass amp rack and then paint.

How much above the box/board are you going to raise the amp on the plexi?
figured 5 ft would really show off the amp floating. lol.

between .5" to and 1" really not sure. have to mess around with it once the plexi gets here. then the amp will be raised from the plexi about 3/8" for the wires to run under the amp.

it has arrived...the plexi that is lol

then sanded spot putty areas and then wet sanded the whole box with 400 grit....**** is smooth like a baby's butt..... still have some work to do on it before paint gets laid down.

Did you figure out how you wanted to mount the floating rack? So many options and they all work out pretty well haha.
yeah going to use schedule 40 pvc pipe to make 2 spacers to send a bolt thru each one and the plexi making sure it goes through the wood on the box to attach.... then of cousre the amp will be spaced from the plexi so i can run the wires inbetween the plexi and amp
