Box Build for Klepto [Pics]

only thing i can think of to make it better, is if u start routering the port walls and bracing (round over bit)
^lol... i've been trying to get him to for the whole thread...
carpet looks pretty good... how will the box be mounted? will the sides be visible at all??

it could use a lil more paint in the port, but not too shabby at all.
I completly agree with the both of you, however I don't have personal acess to a router. All cuts relating to woodwork was done by my uncle who has all the tools. He taught me step by step how to correctly cut wood and use a router, so the next time around will be my first attempt at cutting wood. I'm looking into purchasing a router in the near future with the help of a good friend who works at lowes. Box is going into a Focus hatch so I'm assuming the sides won't be visable.

Forgot to thank Moe Lester who is responsible for contributing to the forum by submitting so many box plans, a real generous guy. Most importantly, I'd like to thank Klepto for giving me the opportunity to build him a box. He's a really nice guy to work with, and really demonstrates a passion for car audio. He pays attention to the details, something I respect.

sounds good... have fun learning the ins and outs of routing... its easy once you get your technique down, but it can be a B*TCH until you do.

i'm sure your uncle already told you but... always check your plunge depth before making a cut... i've f'd up more cuts than i want to think about because of that simple error lol.

good looking box though, i'd be proud of it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thank you sir, I'll be sure to come to you for my router needs. Your comments are always appreciated.

also another tip, if u paint the sides... it will help hide where the carpet doesnt quite line up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

It'll match the rest of this guys system. You guys should see this guys doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Then get some **** pics up!

job well done = satisfied customer. GJ.

A router is something every box builder needs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Makes things like slot port cutouts, sub cutouts (with a jig), rounding port and box edges, making flush baffles, etc. SOOOO much easier.
