For some reason my previous pics got messed up, so i thought i would post more and make this

thread more like a full build of what i've done so far...

Woot! Alotta pics. No vids yet though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif will get some soon when i get a chance. Also I have

some RSD Comps in the front doors that are not shown (doors are also deadened a lil bit.)

update:

i'm done breaking it in and damn it gets loud!

I'm hoping to get it metered @ a local shop that has a TL tomorrow, i've set the gain around ~1200 watts to each sub, but they got a little smelly when playing @ that level too long (not sure if its just excess glue burning off, since i didn't smell anything when breaking them in, or if that's just too much for them, still playing with the settings).

Also w/the gains set to 1200watts each, the voltage only dropped to 13.2 when playing music, idling, which i am very happy about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I was worried about dropping below 12 with this much power!

anyway, vids will come soon! i'm hoping to get them in the next few days. With it getting dark @ 5-6 pm around here its a pain in the ass to find a good time to take one.

I know i'm prob not getting anywhere near that after imp rise and voltage drop, I just set it to around 4800 watts with a DMM (don't have clamp to see real power, so thats the closest i can get). The amp is rated @ 4700 @ 1ohm, and i'm running it @ .5 ohm

Well once again just asking How did you set it to 4800 with just the DMM? and whats the formula you used to get 4800
sorry, i thought you meant what did i use to set the gain (dmm/clamp/oscillascope/by ear).

the equation i used was Voltage = Sqrt (power x resistance)

wow, nice set up...
thanks, ive spent a while saving up and working on it...

Just asking I have always done it with a DMM and a Clamp meter and I have a friend that tested the 500.1 on most he got was 3700 at .5 dont remember his impedence rise though...

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
