BOSS amps????

I have a friend that is looking into BOS amps for his subs. How true and good are they? I looked at the website and it looks ok but I have had no dealings with then. What is your opinions? I think that he is looking at the RIPD3, C3000D and the IQ3KD.1.

I had a Rip695 i think. it was part of my first system and it did indeed ****. i was ignorant back then and didnt know squat about car audio. Dont buy them.

All amps Boss produces are over rated. Built in china and they use the cheapest parts they can get away with.

You can find much better for your money, even on a budget.

Make sure your friend knows the difference from the MAX power rating and the RMS power rating. Also direct him to a company who actually follows the CEA-2006 guide line.

Havent used them. Only GOOD ive heard/read about boss amps is the riot series, someone at an installation shop got a hold of one thinking it was going to be crap and it ended up pounding harder than some name brand amps. To a certain extent you get what you pay for, but on the other hand as well people often pay way too much for name brands.

Thanks. I had heard that it was crapola but I wanted more feed back and mre to tell him than my opinion. What is the next best thing for him in that price range. I like the Directed 1100d.

Man dont listen to them i got a 2000 watt amp at de flee market made by boss and dat shit makes my 4 15s bump like crazy my trunk rattles the most of all my friends
