Another "need an amp" thread.

This is my first post on here so be gentle:blush:

I need an amp to run a set of components(80RMS) in the front and a set of 6x9's(75RMS) in the rear, all are 4Ohm. SQ is my goal, something in the $300 range would be best but I could go a bit higher providing the WU(Wife Unit) doesn't find out.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

In the trunk I have a pair of 10"Kicker Comp's that are powered by an old Kenwood KAC-821. The Kenwood is old but still runs fine.

I know the 6x9's aren't needed for SQ but at times I have to remove the subs (when we pack for vacations) and the 6x9's are a substitute(pardon the pun).

I have been looking in my local audio stores but all they want to do is sell me the most expensive junk they have at the time and aren't very informative.(small town blues)

Kicker, JL Audio, Phoenix Gold(found a Xenon X200.4 for $250), Hifonics, Cadence,...........

which one do you guys recommend and why ????

Thanks for any help and as long as this darn hurricane doesn't wipe me out I'll be ordering an amp by Monday.

ive got one for ya if you want a 4 channel, USamps 4085 will do you nicely.

And If you don't like that one I have a Phoenix Gold ZX450 on ebay. 75x4 at 4ohms and 150x4 at 2ohms.

I'll be honest and tell you that I have never heard of USAmps thus know nothing about them.

That doesn't mean much as I am a noob at anything other than the Circuit City and BestBuy stuff. I have since seen the error of my ways and am learning.

The IS-4085 does indeed look interesting, on the USAmp site it's rated at 125x4@4Ohm. I assume that's at 14.4Volt

Any idea on the pricing ??

USamps is good and better then circuity city/best buy garbage.
