So I go to the body shop yesterday, theyve had my car for a month. i get there and they said they would fix the alarm, it worked fine just that for some reason the horn would cut out, but they said they will take care of it....well apparantely the guy had forgotten sayin he would. Anyways, the car is running when i get there, i turn it off and try the alarm, and NOTHING works. they tell me the battery is dead (kinetik hc 1400). They said that its becuase it wasnt used for a full month, thats when I told them its only 3 months old and I have another one sitting in my room that hasnt been used for almost a month and a half and its sitting voltage is 12.9V. So they then said theyll take care of it as well as other things (like scratches that werent there before on the vehicle). This morning i get a call from them and they said the battery is possibly "defective". i ask them how thats possible and they said because of the rear impact (i got hit on the freeway while i was stopped, person hit me at about 60mph), possibly the cells moved or something. I told them i drove the car for a full week after the accident, never had any problems, and you guys told me that you drove it around the shop afterwards from different departments and it was fine...and one day there it stopped working. So he keeps repeating sayings its probably defective and he cant give me a reason why. Then he tries to say the metal things i have on the battery posts (ring terminals from my big 3 and power wire) could have caused that, which is bullshit; how do people run a system without using a ring terminal or without having to attach something to the posts for their power wire? what can i say to defend myself, what should i do if they tell me its not working? They are charging it right now and will do so till i pick it up, im just worried it wont be working when i get there or it will die out on me later, at which piont im screwed.
