Blowing Sub

Type-R is brand new just started working it at about volume 35 of 40.

and i smell a little buring stench BUT NO the sub isnt scratching when i press it and the sub seems more flexible not so stiff.

like as it gets more un stiff from out of the box will it get more louder when playing it but only to an extent get louder?

ove time yes. it should sound louder because the spider has loosend up some. you might b warming that voicecoil up to much. clipping the amp maybe?

New subs will usually smell when you start playing them. It's perfectly normal to smell some coils the first week or so. There is usually excess glue on the voice coil that burns away when you first play it.

also 35 out of 40 is pretty high, i thaught the rule of thumb was 75% , but as long as your gains are set ok //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
