I used to hate on the Type-Rs until I heard one of my classmate's dual 12 Type R setup in a ported prefab on a 1,000 watt Crunch amp. Must say, on a good amp and a custom box they would be pretty nice actually. So I wholeheartedly agree.

yea they are not bad subs. Had a friend/teammate with 1 - 15" type r in 4th order wall on i "think" a sundown 1500d doing i think like 147-48 average FCBC style if you know their format

Thanks for all the input guys, it feels good to be a noob and not get flamed too hard lol. I've decided on 1 10" type r running on my kicker 600.1 amp (actual output is 670 rms) and CSCstang is making me a custom ported box to fit my car nicely, I'm really stoked to see how it turns out. Im also gonna get the alpine type s door speakers front and rear

Get type R components in the front and type S for rear speakers.

Just so you know. The birth shows dynamic power. They are gimmicks, it will do rated like everything else. That applies for kicker, fosgate, ect
